Is my doctor in-network with our United Healthcare medical plan?

Although nearly all doctors in our area are in-network with the United Healthcare Choice Plus network, you should always confirm in-network status before seeking any non-emergency care. This includes doctors, labs, hospitals, surgical centers, and any other type of medical care provider. There are a variety of ways to verify whether or not your provider is in-network:

  • Online through your MyUHC login – Select Medical or Behavioral Health, Select Employer or Individual Plans, and Select the “Choice Plus” option.  
  • Call the United Healthcare toll-free number, 888-332-8885.
    • You will hear a prompt asking if you are a provider or member, say member.
    • Once you are connected with a member service representative, tell them you are calling for help finding an in-network provider and provide the name of your employer. You will also need your group number or policy number.
